Could medicinal cannabis replace demand for codeine?
Medicinal cannabis advocates urge all states and territories to follow New South Wales's lead and remove barriers to accessing the medication.
It comes as some doctors report an increase in demand for the treatment, since codeine was taken off pharmacy shelves last month.
But, advocates say the biggest hurdle is getting doctors comfortable enough to prescribe a drug they don't know much about.
