Now, says Olivia, 70, she takes the drug every morning, and at regular intervals throughout the day, and is seeing the benefits.

'My husband hands me all these herbs every morning and makes me a green algae drink,' she says.

'He grows the plants and makes them into liquid for me. I take drops maybe four to five times a day.'

Olivia is married to natural health entrepreneur John Easterling, 66, and they live at a ranch in Southern California, where cannabis is legal for both medicinal and recreational use.

Following her rep's comments, Olivia took to Facebook with a video showing that she was alive and well.

At the time, the source who spoke out claimed that her body was shutting down and she was barely holding on.
